The 25th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America may be our only solution. It must be invoked to remove the 45th president of the United States and return America to sanity, to return reality to the Oval Office, to protect our Fourth Estate (the free press)—to save our democracy!
Donald J. Trump continues to display “bonkers” and clinically insane (see “Narcissistic Jingoism”) behaviors. Trump and reality are going faster and faster in opposite directions. The divide between reality and Trump is galactic. He has proved this again and again, over, and over. Each time he doubles down. Each time he raises the bar.
Trump has left us with no alternative but to remove him from office: because he is incapable of discharging the duties of the Office of the President of the United States of America. He is nothing more than an unseemly sideshow barker. He is not protecting the Constitution of the United States of America. He is not defending us against enemies foreign or domestic. He is making America unsafe.
I am writing this while watching Trump as he holds his version of the Nuremberg Rally in Melbourne, Florida. His eyes are crazed. His voice is full of bile. His followers are fixated, engrossed, transfixed, delusional, hoodwinked, and bamboozled . . . just as most of Germany’s population was in the 1930s through the mid-forties; remember, remember, see the similarities—and take decisive action before it is too late.
Trump has again demonized anyone, everyone, all who disagree with him, or resist him, or are blocking him from his ascension to dictator. He needs to be dealt with like an unruly child and be given a time-out. A very long time-out! He needs to be removed from office.
Section 4 of the 25th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America specifies:
“Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.”
While Pence is no bargain (and will not protect our rights) either, at least he is not politically crazy; he’s just hell-bent on declaring Christianity as the official religion (aka cult) of the land. At least he is not actively destroying our press or those who disagree with him. He does not want to make love to the Russian dictator Putin.
God Almighty, or the Great Pumpkin, or Santa Claus, or the Tooth Fairy—someone—better bless America very soon by removing Trump from office.
